WE ARE A CO-ED MIDDLE SCHOOL LEVEL ULTIMATE FRISBEE TEAM IN THE SOUTH BAY

We are centrally located around the town of Campbell, CA in Santa Clara County.  We draw players from middle schools in the general area, including San Jose, Campbell, Saratoga, and Los Gatos.  At present we are open to any middle school players living in Santa Clara County and wanting to play Ultimate.

The team competes in tournaments run by the Bay Area Disc Association, governed by USA Ultimate. The team practices twice a week in the spring and fall and can allow for students who have commitments to other sports or organizations.  We are beginner friendly and seeking to be co-ed because GURLS

ULTIMATE FRISBEE is a team sport which mixes elements of football, basketball, and rugby, substituting the ball with a flying disc (Frisbee) and the referee with Spirit of the Game.

Two characteristics of Ultimate which make it unique are:

  1. Spirit of the Game: every player is expected to compete at their heighest level, without compromising fair play or sportsmanship.  While seemingly counterproductive, the lack of referees actually helps to reinforce this idea.  Read more about Spirit of the Game here: https://usaultimate.org/spirit-of-the-game/
  2. Coed teams: one of the most popular categories in Ultimate is the Coed or mixed division.  Stacks is a co-ed team and welcome all middle school players who want to give this sport a try.

WE UPHOLD SPIRIT OF THE GAME, and always strive to:

-- resolve conflicts quickly and avoid long arguments after a point

-- avoid physical contact and dangerous plays

-- have mutual respect and avoid taunts, heckling and provocation

Ultimate Official Rules: https://usaultimate.org/rules/

“Highly competitive play is encouraged, but Never at the expense of mutual respect among competitors, adherence to the agreed upon rules, or the basic joy of play.” -Official Rules of Ultimate
